Many healthcare-related positions require applicants to undergo a criminal background fingerprint test and/or drug screening. A criminal history may prevent licensing, certification or employability.
As you are considering a CE program that requires a criminal background/fingerprint test and/or drug screening, are responsible:
  • For knowing whether if they are eligible for licensure or certification before committing to a CE program, and
  • Contacting the respective certification agency to find out if a conviction will prohibit them from being certified and able to work in the industry.
